Take Control of Your Water Use with Dayton’s New Digital Portal VXSmart

The City of Dayton has partnered with VXsmart software to provide residents with a digital portal that offers detailed insights into household water usage. The portal can be accessed from any web browser or mobile device at https://daytonmn.watersmart.com.

Through this customer portal, residents can:
• Track household water usage
• Receive alerts for potential leaks or unusual water consumption
• Access personalized water-saving tips
• Set and manage communication preferences

Register your Account

Registering for this free service is easy, simply enter your utility billing account number and email address. Once registered, you will be able to view your utility data as it becomes available each billing cycle, compare your water use with similarly sized homes in your neighborhood, and receive customized recommendations to help conserve water and reduce costs.  Please note, this does not replace Invoice Cloud to pay for your water bills. This is a separate portal for water saving tips and tracking household water usage.  We encourage all residents to take advantage of this new service and look forward to continuing to support our community with innovative tools and resources.

To set up your VXsmart Portal

1. Go to https://daytonmn.watersmart.com
2. Click Login
3. Input your Account Number and Zip Code.  You can find your account number on your utility bill.  
4. Walk through the automated registration flow. 
5. Once registered, make sure you sign up for alerts so you can stay informed about potential leaks and other high usage events.  Please remember to check portal periodically for new features as this is constantly being updated.
