Park Improvement Projects
The City continues to invest in park development and enhancements across the community. Several parks have received irrigation upgrades, landscaping improvements and site enhancements to improve overall park usability and aesthetics.

Below is a summary of the work completed or currently underway:
Elsie Stephens Park
Existing well has been refurbished to supply water for a new irrigation system, which is now operational. Minor turf restoration is currently being completed by City staff to improve grass quality.
Hayden Hills Park
A new well has been installed and the irrigation system is fully operational. Overseeding has been completed by City staff to enhance turf coverage.
River Hills Park
A new well has been drilled and is currently operational.
Ione Gardens & Cypress Cove Neighborhood Parks
This park utilizes Municipal Water for irrigation and the system is now operational. City staff are grading the site in preparation for hydro seeding. A small landscape area has been completed, along with new tree plantings to improve the overall park environment.
Sundance Woods Park
The existing irrigation system has extended to cover the eastern portion of the park. City staff will grade and seed the area to enhance turf conditions and usability.
Brayburn Trails, Sundance & DCM Farms
Construction on this new multi-use park has continued through the summer, with some delays due to weather. Anticipated completion is scheduled for early fall.
Completed or in-progress features include concrete poured for pickleball and basketball courts; awaiting sport surfacing installation. Sand volleyball court container is complete and filled with sand. Playground container is poured; playground delivery equipment is pending. The contractor is completing grading and getting the asphalt ready for trails and parking lot scheduled for September 23rd. Landscaping, irrigation, tree planting, and seeding will continue over the coming weeks to finalize the park’s development.
These efforts reflect the City’s ongoing commitment to maintaining and enhancing public spaces for all residents to enjoy.
