EDA Vacancy 

The City of Dayton is accepting applications for its Economic Development Authority (EDA).  The EDA is involved in matters important to local business retention and expansion.  The board discusses ways to enhance economic development at the direction of the City Council in order to meet the City’s goals.  The Dayton EDA has regularly scheduled meetings on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 a.m. at Dayton City Hall.  Appointed EDA members serve six-year terms.  The EDA consists of seven members, including two City Councilmembers and five members of the Dayton business community or residents of the City of Dayton with business and/or economic development expertise, each with an interest in promoting the economic growth and development of the City of Dayton.  The EDA shall have all the powers, duties, and responsibilities set forth in Minnesota Statutes §469.090 to §469.1081.

Applications are due Monday, December 1, 2025.  The City Council will review applications and make appointments at its December 9th meeting.  Please submit application to Assistant City Administrator/City Clerk, Amy Benting at abenting@daytonmn.gov
