Kwik Trip Celebrates Ribbon Cutting at New Dayton Location
On October 8th, Kwik Trip held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its newest store, located at 17950 Maple Court on the northeast corner of I-94 and Dayton Parkway. The event was attended by Kwik Trip CEO Scott Zietlow, store team members, Minnesota Representative Danny Nadeau, Councilmember Dave Fashant, City Commissioners and staff, members of the I-94 Chamber of Commerce, and many other community stakeholders.
Founded in 1965, Kwik Trip now operates 902 locations across the Midwest. This marks the second Kwik Trip store in Dayton. The new location sits on a 10-acre site and features 20 gasoline pumps, 5 diesel pumps, and 36 stalls for semi-trucks. At 14,000 square feet, the store is larger than typical Kwik Trip locations and includes a small indoor dining area. Once fully staffed, it will employ 87 full-time and part-time team members.
Although located just one mile from another Kwik Trip at County Roads 81 and 101, this new site is strategically positioned to serve a different traffic corridor, primarily catering to travelers along I-94.
The City Council approved the $18 million project in May 2024. Kwik Trip donated $442,500 toward the $893,000 cost of a traffic signal at Dayton Parkway and Holly Lane, which will be completed in spring 2026.
