The City of Dayton defines in Dayton City Ordinance Chapter 94 what constitutes a nuisance in regard to a barking dog. The ordinance states it is a nuisance when the animal excessively makes disturbing noises. If you are not able to resolve the issue, and the dog is excessivley barking, you can contact the Dayton PD Community Service Officer through dispatch at (952)258-5321. We do recommend that you call while the dog is barking.
You can have 4 or less small/domestic animals. Residents are allowed to have chickens in most areas of the City. Roosters are not allowed.
